Non-fiction is definitely what I love reading most but this book expands boundaries of the genre. MacDonald combines nature writing and grief memoir with a guide on how to train a hawk and T.H White biography. A truly beautiful read.
Btw, I have a hardcopy of this book but only now, when creating this image did I notice how beautiful and retro the cover is.
H is for Hawk is a winner of The Samuel Jhonson Prize for non-fiction 2014 and Costa Book of the Year.
