⭐️⭐️ Q&A by Vikas Swarup

I have never been a fan of the Slumdog Millionaire movie but after reading the book I can see what an amazing work has been done to adapt Vikas Swarup’s book Q&A to the award-winning film.

Simon Beufoy and Danny Boyle took what was best from a story about a young boy who makes his way from the slums to the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire TV show and unexpectedly wins a top prize. Later, chapter by chapter and shot by shot he tries to explain how different episodes in his life gave him answers to each of the questions in the quiz. The book enraptured many and so did the film. However, despite the originality and interesting socio-economic background to the story, the formulaic approach and the lack of depth to characters left me indifferent. And no romance, no eccentric music that was added in the film could have changed my mind.
